Base Salary
$144k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, deploy, and maintain software features across the full development lifecycle.
- Write documented, high-quality code and participate in code reviews and team coaching.
- Collaborate with product managers, stakeholders, and engineers to translate customer and business needs into technical solutions.
- Diagnose operational issues, identify root causes, and implement permanent fixes to improve operational health.
- Build systems that monitor, predict, detect, and remediate network impairments at large scale.
- Evaluate and integrate generative artificial intelligence tools where appropriate using responsible practices.
- Document designs, share knowledge, and mentor newer engineers.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- At least 1 year of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
- At least 1 year designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed applications, tools, systems, or services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
- At least 1 year of Object Oriented Design experience.
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience programming in at least one software programming language.
- Preferred: at least 3 years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
