Responsibilities
- Lead a DevOps team in architecting, developing, and maintaining release and deployment automation pipelines.
- Design and implement complex, scalable CI/CD pipelines for multiple development teams.
- Oversee deployment strategies for containerized applications using Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
- Integrate cloud services and infrastructure-as-code practices using AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Conduct system and architecture reviews and implement performance and operational improvements.
- Drive adoption of continuous integration, continuous delivery, automation, and infrastructure-as-code practices.
- Mentor junior DevOps engineers and promote continuous improvement.
- Lead adoption of observability and monitoring tools to support high availability and performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on deployment strategies and operational requirements.
- Design and implement disaster recovery strategies while maintaining security and compliance standards.
Requirements
- 12+ years of total IT experience focused on DevOps practices and principles.
- 5+ years of in-depth experience with Python, Ansible, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm charts, and Octopus Deploy.
- Expert Python skills and extensive experience building CI/CD pipelines with Ansible and Jenkins.
- Demonstrable experience with DevOps system architecture and design and complex CI/CD environments.
- Advanced knowledge of Linux system administration, TCP/IP networking, and cloud services including AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with scripting, configuration management, container orchestration, package management, and software development in Python and containerized environments.
- Experience with observability, log collection, and analysis tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, and ELK stack.
- Experience with Groovy scripting and Groovy shared libraries is beneficial.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Applied Math, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
