Responsibilities
- Design and implement Kotlin backend services to enhance device management workflows.
- Lead the development of Toast’s next-generation software services and applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on product roadmaps and requirements.
- Create technical requirements and detailed designs for software systems.
- Lead effort estimation sessions for project planning.
- Diagnose performance bottlenecks and implement optimizations.
- Set standards for software quality by adopting modern testing frameworks.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in designing and implementing robust backend services.
- Proficient in Java or Kotlin and modern object-oriented programming.
- Demonstrated technical leadership and ability to influence cross-team alignment.
- Experience with microservices architecture and containerization technologies.
- Knowledge of backend application lifecycle management best practices.
- Experience developing single-page frontend applications using React.
- Excellent communication skills for articulating complex technical concepts.
