Base Salary
$175k - $240k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own and drive significant projects supporting multiple payment service providers and related payment opportunities.
- Serve as the payments expert while building custom payment workflows and integrations.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to deliver a seamless billing and payment experience for merchants and their customers.
- Apply AI to product automation, business process improvement, and daily engineering workflows.
- Remain hands-on in code while contributing to system design and implementation.
- Mentor engineers, raise the technical bar, and help shape the company’s engineering culture.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional software development experience.
- Specialized experience building payment systems with at least two payment processors.
- Experience leading large, complex system designs, ideally in a fast-moving and growing environment.
- Hands-on experience with modern programming languages and frameworks.
- Strong fundamentals in algorithms, data structures, and distributed systems.
- Excitement about AI and experience using and evaluating evolving AI capabilities.
- Ability to operate effectively amid ambiguity and shape solutions in early-stage problem spaces.
- Interest in mentoring engineers and serving as a technical example for the team.
