Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain iOS SDK capabilities, native entry points, JavaScript bridges, and reusable APIs for MiniApps.
- Improve SDK reliability, performance, security, observability, and backward compatibility across Grab app releases.
- Drive iOS and Android capability parity through cross-platform contracts and consistent developer experiences.
- Partner with backend engineers on Horus services, authentication, scopes, transaction capabilities, telemetry, and other platform integrations.
- Build automated tests, release tooling, sample applications, and technical documentation for partner integrations.
- Investigate production issues, strengthen monitoring and failure handling, and contribute to incident response and post-incident improvements.
- Collaborate with product, design, QA, and partner teams to deliver scalable mobile platform solutions.
- Provide technical leadership through architecture reviews, code reviews, mentoring, and engineering standards improvement.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional iOS development experience.
- Strong proficiency in Swift and the iOS SDK.
- Experience designing or maintaining mobile SDKs, frameworks, libraries, or platform components used by multiple product teams.
- Strong knowledge of iOS architecture, lifecycle, concurrency, networking, persistence, and performance optimization.
- Experience with WKWebView integrations, JavaScript bridges, RESTful APIs, and secure client-server communication.
- Understanding of API design, versioning, backward compatibility, testing strategy, and release management.
- Hands-on experience with XCTest, unit and integration testing, and CI/CD for iOS applications, frameworks, or SDKs.
- Ability to diagnose complex production issues using logs, metrics, traces, Instruments, and systematic debugging.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills across mobile, backend, QA, product, and partner teams.
- Experience mentoring engineers and influencing technical direction through architecture and high-quality code.
- Experience with UIKit, SwiftUI, mobile security, observability, developer tooling, or large-scale platform ecosystems is advantageous.
