Responsibilities
- Build and maintain integrations with German governmental health services so Doctolib teams can interact with the German health system through the platform
- Drive integration of the national EHR into Doctolib with a multi-country rollout approach
- Design, ship, and operate production-grade full-stack solutions connecting Doctolib to complex healthcare infrastructure
- Partner with engineering teams to shape the interoperability platform architecture
- Ensure privacy, security, and compliance by design in a regulated healthcare environment
- Own performance, observability, and reliability through monitoring dashboards, SLOs, SLIs, and system health practices
- Contribute to cross-functional initiatives shaping Doctolib’s European interoperability strategy
Requirements
- At least 6 years of experience as a software engineer
- Strong full-stack expertise, particularly in Kotlin and React/TypeScript
- Track record of building robust end-to-end solutions with strong technical quality and intuitive user experiences
- Ability to design systems and make sound architectural decisions in complex environments
- Knowledge of automated testing, CI/CD, and DevOps practices
- Comfort working autonomously in complex technical environments with external dependencies and evolving standards
- Ability and willingness to share knowledge through pair programming and mentoring
- Comfort speaking and writing English in day-to-day team communication; German is a plus
- Preferred: experience with healthcare interoperability standards such as FHIR or HL7
- Preferred: experience integrating with governmental or regulated health systems, including Telematik-Infrastruktur, eRezept, or GDT
- Preferred: familiarity with the German digital health ecosystem
