Base Salary
$168k - $227k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the quality, maintainability, and certification readiness of safety-critical embedded software modules.
- Translate R&D algorithm implementations into production-grade embedded software meeting functional safety standards.
- Define and communicate software requirements and constraints to the core R&D team.
- Drive software through the complete safety certification lifecycle, including code, documentation, and certification evidence.
- Develop deterministic, real-time embedded software using safety-critical coding standards such as MISRA C++ and AUTOSAR.
- Collaborate with safety engineers, lab engineers, and testing/quality engineers to maintain end-to-end traceability from requirements through certification.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 5 years of programming experience with one or more software programming languages.
- At least 5 years of experience leading the design or architecture of new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Experience mentoring, serving as a tech lead, or leading an engineering team.
- Preferred: at least 5 years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
