Base Salary
$151k - $297k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define the first version and future evolution of the service with product management, product engineering, product design, and other company teams.
- Design, build, test, and deliver core platform components for high-scale AI application deployment.
- Improve the performance, scalability, and reliability of distributed systems infrastructure.
- Shape system architecture, code reviews, development practices, and developer experience.
- Provide technical leadership, mentor engineers, and own projects from conception through delivery.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience building distributed systems and/or foundational cloud services at scale.
- Strong background in core components for high-scale compute and data distributed systems.
- Interest in working with Python, Go, and Java.
- Experience designing, writing, testing, debugging, and performance-tuning distributed or highly concurrent software in large, long-lived codebases.
- Track record of identifying problems, implementing solutions, and delivering complex distributed systems or database projects.
- Experience leading projects involving 15–20 people from conception through successful delivery.
- Strong computer science fundamentals and verbal and written technical communication skills.
- Bonus experience with containerization and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes and with AI frameworks and tools.
- Strong technical background, collaboration skills, and eagerness to learn.
