Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable solutions across multiple platforms in collaboration with product managers, designers, and engineers.
- Create APIs using the Elixir Phoenix framework for core products.
- Optimize PostgreSQL and Cassandra queries, create high-performance indexes, and use Redis to improve scalability and responsiveness.
- Debug issues across the stack using logging and monitoring tools.
- Review peer code, improve engineering standards and tooling, and uphold overall technical quality.
- Define development technologies, workflows, coding standards, and approaches for new products and features.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer programming, computer science, or a related field; an advanced degree is a plus.
- 4+ years of experience with Elixir designing and building high-performance RESTful web services serving billions of requests per day.
- High-level experience with SQL infrastructure and data modeling.
- Ability to adapt to ambiguity and change in a dynamic environment while balancing multiple priorities.
- A data-driven, imaginative, intuitive, and fast-learning startup mindset.
