Base Salary
$94k - $142k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and develop front-office eTrading applications for the Rates trading business.
- Collaborate with traders, sales, and quants to shape the trading platform.
- Improve platform technical capabilities, stability, flexibility, and maintainability.
- Drive engineering standards and enhance automated testing and UAT processes.
- Troubleshoot complex performance and scalability issues in large-scale trading systems.
- Provide onsite support to Rates traders in Paris and assist with third-line support during trading hours.
- Coordinate with global business, support, and development teams on projects.
- Inspire colleagues technically and contribute across the full software development lifecycle.
Requirements
- 3–7 years of experience in server-side Core Java and multithreading.
- Experience with Spring, Linux, relational databases, enterprise application architecture, and performance optimization.
- Understanding of concurrency, algorithms, data structures, and design patterns.
- Experience with Agile, test-driven development, continuous integration, and continuous delivery practices.
- Experience working in globally distributed teams using Jira, GitHub, Sonar, and TeamCity.
- Proficiency with IntelliJ and Gradle.
- Bachelor’s or university degree, or equivalent experience; a master’s degree is preferred.
- Preferred experience with ION, KDB, JSON/XML, REST services, and AI tools such as Copilot, Claude, or Devin.
- Preferred knowledge of fixed-income products and electronic trading flows in broker and customer markets.
- Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, planning, teamwork, and organizational skills.
