Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable, high-performance backend systems and APIs for mobile, web, and third-party integrations.
- Optimize system performance, scalability, reliability, security, and regulatory compliance, including AML, KYC, data privacy, and state-by-state sweepstakes regulations.
- Build and maintain APIs, support infrastructure automation, and work with data pipelines, analytics integrations, and geolocation-based access controls.
- Support incident management, monitoring systems, and root cause analysis.
- Mentor engineers, share engineering best practices, and collaborate with product, finance, compliance, and support teams.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of relevant experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Python for backend development, automation, and data processing.
- Experience designing, developing, and scaling high-performance backend systems and maintaining APIs.
- Experience with infrastructure automation, data pipelines, analytics integrations, geolocation-based access controls, incident management, monitoring, and root cause analysis.
- Understanding of system performance optimization, security best practices, AML, KYC, data privacy, and regulatory compliance.
- Fluent in English and able to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
