Responsibilities
- Analyze embedded solution requirements and collaborate with colleagues and customers to define product requirements.
- Assist with product design and architecture development.
- Design, develop, maintain, and customize embedded solutions using C/C++.
- Estimate tasks and contribute to development planning.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with firmware, electrical, mechanical, quality assurance, product, customer support, and other stakeholders.
- Investigate and resolve reported defects in a timely manner.
- Provide status updates, raise issues, and communicate technical information to team members.
- Prepare for and participate in technical discussions and code reviews.
- Improve development processes, standards, tools, workflows, product quality, and customer experience.
- Evaluate interfaces between hardware and embedded solutions and assess overall system operational and performance requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
- 4–7+ years of related embedded firmware development or equivalent professional experience.
- 4–7+ years of embedded device development experience using object-oriented programming in C/C++.
- Ability to use oscilloscopes, analyzers, power supplies, and similar equipment effectively.
- Experience with development across the full lifecycle, including design, architecture, and implementation.
- Working knowledge of source code management and configuration.
- Strong understanding of development processes, principles, and objectives.
- Experience implementing security protocols and secure cryptographic techniques, including documenting system security aspects, is highly desired.
- Embedded Linux experience is a plus.
- FPGA experience is a plus.
- Experience with USB and/or Ethernet devices is beneficial.
- Experience with DC and stepper motors is a major plus.
- Knowledge of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) is desired.
- Proven analytical, planning, problem-solving, decision-making, communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot and perform development work consistently and logically in a collaborative, multi-team environment.

- U.S. base salary range of $120,000 to $135,000.
- The position is located in Eden Prairie, Minnesota, and international relocation or remote work outside the hiring country is not considered.
