Base Salary
$200k - $330k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead application, cloud, network, and AI agent security for the platform.
- Perform secure design reviews, oversee threat modeling, and build security primitives into the product and platform.
- Partner with engineering, product, and GRC to embed security throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Integrate security tooling into CI/CD pipelines and automate scans, compliance checks, and infrastructure reviews.
- Audit the cloud environment, review IAM configurations, monitor emerging AI security risks, and establish security best practices.
- Recommend strategic security initiatives and lead efforts to continuously improve the company’s security posture.
- Present Sierra’s security posture to enterprise customers and address concerns involving healthcare, financial, and other regulated data.
Requirements
- Strong foundation in web application security, cloud security, and networking principles.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Hands-on experience programming production software, scripting, and using DevOps tools for automation.
- Familiarity with secure coding, threat modeling, vulnerability scanning, and incident response.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for explaining technical risks and trade-offs to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Preferred experience securing AI systems and understanding LLM and agentic AI risks.
- Preferred experience securing cloud infrastructure with robust policies and automated enforcement.
- Preferred familiarity with Terraform and CloudFormation.
- Preferred experience building or integrating custom security tools using AI/ML for detection or monitoring.
- Preferred familiarity with continuous compliance platforms and control monitoring.
- Preferred experience with secure-by-design and privacy-by-design practices, including data handling, anonymization, and de-identification.
