Base Salary
$207k - $345k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture and implementation of complex security initiatives across multiple engineering teams and technical domains.
- Incorporate agentic AI technologies into security capabilities across product and infrastructure systems.
- Design scalable systems for identity and access management, cloud infrastructure, internal tooling, developer infrastructure, and third-party SaaS.
- Build prototypes and production code while remaining hands-on throughout the system lifecycle.
- Translate ambiguous security problems into technical architectures, roadmaps, and executable engineering plans.
- Identify systemic security risks and architectural weaknesses, then drive durable engineering solutions.
- Establish security patterns and frameworks that enable engineering velocity.
- Influence technical decisions across senior stakeholders and raise the technical bar through design reviews and mentorship.
Requirements
- Significant experience designing, building, and operating complex systems in large-scale cloud or enterprise environments.
- Track record leading technically complex initiatives involving multiple engineering teams, competing requirements, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Deep expertise in one or more security domains, particularly identity and access management, authentication, authorization, or identity architecture.
- Strong understanding of cloud and enterprise architecture, security boundaries, workload isolation, service-to-service communication, and access-control systems.
- Recent hands-on engineering experience, including prototyping, coding, and use of modern development tooling.
- Experience building defensive agentic systems and integrating them with dynamic software development and operations.
- Ability to move between high-level architecture and detailed implementation decisions.
- Strong technical judgment, pragmatic decision-making, and ability to influence senior technical stakeholders without organizational authority.
- Candidates will have 10+ years of experience solving complex engineering and security problems.
