Responsibilities
- Migrate existing applications from C#, VB.NET, and ASP.NET to a modern technology stack using the Strangler Fig pattern.
- Analyze legacy business logic, data structures, and interfaces and use reverse engineering to support function redevelopment.
- Develop backend solutions, APIs, and services with .NET.
- Build user-facing frontend applications with React and the company’s Component Extension Library.
- Design and migrate Microsoft SQL Server databases and support secure transfer of existing data.
- Collaborate with a team of four to five developers, contribute to technical concepts, and conduct code reviews.
- Promote software quality through automated testing, continuous integration, continuous deployment, and technical documentation.
- Support the rollout of new components in an active manufacturing operation and help ensure a low-risk system transformation.
Requirements
- Completed degree in computer science, software engineering, or a comparable field, or vocational training combined with several years of relevant software development experience.
- Several years of software development experience with the Microsoft technology stack, ideally including modernization or migration projects.
- Very strong knowledge of C# and .NET and experience working with legacy code including C#, VB.NET, and ASP.NET Web Forms.
- Knowledge of data modeling and software architectures, ideally including migration patterns such as Strangler Fig, Anti-Corruption Layer, or event-driven architectures.
- Experience with React, TypeScript, Microsoft SQL Server, and T-SQL.
- Familiarity with modern development and quality assurance practices including unit testing, CI/CD, and code reviews.
- Experience with manufacturing-related applications or production-critical systems is advantageous.
- Very good German and good English language skills.
- Structured, independent, collaborative working style and willingness to take responsibility for high-quality software solutions.
