Base Salary

$113k - $183k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain automated API, business-flow, contract, operation, and end-to-end UI tests for MineStar microservices.
  • Test REST and Protobuf endpoints for positive, negative, boundary, error-handling, schema-validation, authorization, and event-side-effect scenarios.
  • Create business-flow tests across services and parity checks between modernized and legacy behavior.
  • Automate AngularUI WebApp user journeys with Playwright, API-first setup, RBAC permutations, reusable fixtures, Page Object Model components, and parallel execution.
  • Configure and maintain CI/CD pipelines, monitor test execution, triage failures, and reduce test flakiness to root cause.
  • Support Kubernetes-based test environments and test data management, including troubleshooting logs, certificates, mTLS, and RBAC failures.
  • Partner with engineers through shift-left practices, three-amigos conversations, code reviews, and quality gates.
  • Mentor embedded scrum-team QAs, document automation suites, and communicate coverage, quality status, and risk to stakeholders.
  • Optionally integrate performance and load checks into CI and identify regressions against agreed thresholds.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile delivery, shift-left testing, definitions of done, and quality gates.
  • Experience with Cucumber or BDD frameworks as a collaboration practice.
  • Experience configuring and troubleshooting CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, Azure Pipelines, or Jenkins.
  • Proficiency in TypeScript, or strong JavaScript with the ability to ramp up in TypeScript; Java, C#, or Python with type hints may also be considered.
  • Experience designing and maintaining automated test suites across API, business-flow, and end-to-end UI layers.
  • Hands-on experience testing REST APIs and contracts, including authorization and role-based access control.
  • Strong test analysis and design skills, including risk-based, exploratory, outcome-based, and maintainable automated testing.
  • Experience supporting test environment readiness and test data management in containerized platforms.
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, collaboration, mentoring, and documentation skills.
  • Preferred experience with Protobuf or gRPC, MQTT or event-driven testing, Kubernetes, Java code reading, mining or safety-critical domains, and performance testing with k6, JMeter, or Gatling.
