Responsibilities
- Lead the transition of workloads from EC2 to a containerized Amazon EKS architecture.
- Execute AWS account separation into distinct environments with enterprise guardrails.
- Design and maintain a DRY, component-driven infrastructure using Terraform and Atmos.
- Architect and operate multi-tenant Kubernetes platforms focusing on security.
- Implement and optimize CI/CD deployments using ArgoCD and GitHub Actions.
- Act as a subject matter expert, guiding engineers on troubleshooting and best practices.
- Manage secrets and encryption using AWS Secrets Manager and KMS.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps, CloudOps, or SRE with a focus on Amazon EKS.
- Advanced proficiency with Terraform and Atmos for managing multi-account structures.
- Proven track record of migrating workloads from EC2 to EKS with minimal downtime.
- Deep experience with AWS Organizations and Landing Zone patterns.
- Ability to implement security guardrails using IAM Permission Boundaries and SCPs.
- Expert knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes networking.
- Proficiency in Golang, Python, or Bash for automation tooling.
- Production experience with AWS Secrets Manager and KMS.
