Base Salary
$94k - $151k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, test, and deploy customer-facing web applications.
- Build testing artifacts and developer tooling while supporting operational excellence.
- Create design diagrams and communicate technical decisions in review meetings.
- Develop and support medium- to large-scale, mission-critical, high-availability production systems.
- Monitor code health, infrastructure health, and application performance.
- Mentor peers and provide technical guidance across the web application technology stack.
- Evaluate newer technologies and concepts related to engineering best practices.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software development experience focused on application development.
- 10+ years of experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, Express, and React, Vue, or Angular.
- Working knowledge of Postgres, Elasticsearch, and Redis.
- Expertise with Fastly, AWS, Serverless/SAM, CloudFormation, Docker, Jenkins, and Git.
- Hands-on experience with both client- and server-side technologies, software data structures and algorithms, and modern engineering technologies.
- Experience building medium- to large-scale mission-critical and high-availability production systems.
- Strong software design skills and the ability to explain difficult technical concepts clearly.
- Experience with monitoring code health, infrastructure health, and application performance.
- Preferred qualifications include e-commerce, affiliate platform, consumer media, Kanban/Scrum, interviewing and talent acquisition, Agile delivery, system engineering, database design, application architecture, operating systems, networking, functional-style programming, and object-oriented JavaScript experience.
