Responsibilities
- Develop a CAD tool with a Java kernel and MATLAB interface based on design-engineer requirements.
- Implement algorithms such as geometrical operations for innovative sensor designs.
- Optimize the tool for efficiency, usability, and user experience.
- Ensure tool reliability through rigorous testing.
- Automate design workflows to reduce the development time of new sensors.
- Support users in applying the tool.
- Apply modern AI capabilities to design workflows.
- Collaborate with in-house R&D and customers in the automotive and consumer industries.
Requirements
- Education in software engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, mathematics, physics, or a similar discipline, with a track record in software development.
- Experience with Java is required, preferably in desktop application development.
- Experience and curiosity in using modern AI capabilities are required.
- Experience with CAD or numerical algorithms is strongly preferred.
- Programming experience in MATLAB is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of mechanical simulations using finite-element analysis is advantageous.
- Knowledge of micro-electro-mechanical systems is advantageous.
- Professional English proficiency in oral and written communication.
