Responsibilities
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle from design and implementation through testing, deployment, and ongoing operation.
- Design, implement, and deploy highly scalable and reliable systems for Yext’s Social products.
- Develop storage systems, libraries, and frameworks.
- Build customer-facing features and backend services for content libraries, campaign management, post scheduling, and publishing workflows.
- Contribute ideas for new features and improvements to products, systems, and engineering practices.
- Collaborate with engineering colleagues and partners across the company.
- Write clean, tested, and well-documented code.
- Use AI-assisted development tools thoughtfully and validate AI-generated output for correctness, security, maintainability, and engineering-standard alignment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
- At least 2 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and software design.
- Fluency with Java, C++, Python, or a similar programming language; Yext primarily codes in Java and Go.
- Ability to evaluate technical solutions and AI-generated code critically.
- Experience with or demonstrated interest in learning AI-assisted development tools.
- Sound judgment regarding data privacy, intellectual property, security, and confidential information when using AI tools.
- Openness to new technologies and ways of working, comfort in a fast-paced environment, and ability to develop creative solutions.
