Responsibilities
- Create, execute, and manage end-to-end software test plans throughout all phases of development.
- Review functional and design specifications and identify test requirements and coverage plans.
- Develop, document, maintain, and review test cases, test plans, test summaries, and other test artifacts.
- Execute and evaluate manual functional, regression, performance, stress, endurance, exploratory, and usability testing.
- Isolate, replicate, report, and verify resolution of software defects.
- Communicate QA progress, risks, and quality issues to teams and stakeholders and escalate issues to Product Owners.
- Participate in Scrum ceremonies and cross-functional test case reviews.
- Identify opportunities to improve testing efficiency and expand test coverage.
- Perform occasional on-call work, evening or weekend work, and travel as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Quality Assurance, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related technical field, with at least four years of software quality assurance experience, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- United States citizenship is required.
- Preferred experience with Test Track Pro, Version One, or similar testing tools and suites.
- Preferred experience with software interfacing directly with third-party firmware, test automation, closed network environments, and Agile Scrum environments.
- Preferred knowledge of test design, development, and execution for software and hardware solutions.
- Preferred US Government security clearance.
- Strong observational, analytical, problem-solving, listening, interpersonal, written communication, verbal communication, discipline, focus, collaboration, and customer service skills.
