Responsibilities
- Build production AI applications, backend services, APIs, integrations, and LLM-powered agent workflows.
- Own software delivery from requirements and design through implementation, testing, deployment, operation, troubleshooting, and improvement.
- Use AI coding agents to prototype, implement changes, write tests, investigate failures, and review code while maintaining production quality and security.
- Measure and improve application quality using tests, traces, observability, user feedback, and LLM or agent evaluations.
- Turn successful AI patterns into documented, reusable platform components for internal teams.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, security, data science, business teams, and users to support safe AI platform adoption.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional software engineering experience, including hands-on Python development for backend services or APIs.
- At least 2 years of hands-on relational database experience, including PostgreSQL or MySQL, schema design, SQL querying, indexing, and query-performance diagnosis.
- At least 2 years of deploying, operating, and monitoring backend services on AWS or GCP using Docker or Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines.
- Hands-on experience building LLM-powered applications with tool-using agents or multi-step workflows, including areas such as RAG, prompt management, evaluations, guardrails, integrations, streaming, or agent frameworks.
- Experience using AI coding agents such as Claude Code or Codex for prototyping, implementation, testing, failure investigation, and code review.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and ability to turn ambiguous requirements into maintainable software.
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is preferred.
- Preferred qualifications include experience scaling LLM platforms, enterprise knowledge and retrieval systems, frontier LLM tooling, model adaptation and fine-tuning, production model serving, and startup or early-stage product development.
