Responsibilities
- Design, build, and ship performant, reliable, intuitive AI agents for production use.
- Own the Agent Development Life Cycle from pilot through deployment, tuning, and continuous iteration.
- Work directly with enterprise and startup customers to understand business challenges and develop scalable AI-agent solutions.
- Create generalizable agent frameworks and support complex customer interactions such as troubleshooting, recommendations, and subscription retention.
- Prototype agent architectures, self-service capabilities, development tools, and voice-model integrations.
- Surface customer needs and collaborate with research, product, and platform teams to evolve Sierra’s core platform.
Requirements
- Experience building and scaling end-to-end production systems.
- Strong technical problem-solving skills in fast-changing and ambiguous environments.
- A builder and tinkerer mindset with high agency and the ability to overcome obstacles and ship.
- Comfort working directly with customers to understand needs and solve real-world problems.
- Excellent communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
- Preferred experience building or deploying AI/LLM systems in production.
- Preferred experience as a founder or founding engineer.
- Familiarity with evaluation frameworks, agent tooling, RAG pipelines, and prompt engineering.
- React, TypeScript, and/or Go experience is preferred.
- Previous customer-facing experience or experience leading technical projects with external stakeholders is preferred.
