Responsibilities
- Design, build, and test applications, APIs, microservices, and backend services.
- Develop data integrations and services connecting applications with enterprise data.
- Contribute to LLM-powered applications, retrieval-augmented generation, automation, and other AI or Generative AI solutions.
- Deploy and troubleshoot cloud-native solutions using code reviews, automated testing, and CI/CD practices.
- Work with software engineers, data engineers, and product partners on solutions that improve health care quality, affordability, and outcomes.
- Participate in community service, professional development workshops, mentorship, networking, leadership sessions, and the Intern Innovation Challenge.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related technical field, with expected graduation between December 2027 and June 2028.
- Experience using Python to build software applications.
- Hands-on experience developing REST APIs, microservices, or backend services.
- Experience using SQL or relational databases to query and manage data.
- Experience building solutions using LLM or Generative AI technologies.
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.
- Preferred: familiarity with Git, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Preferred: experience with Java or JavaScript frameworks such as Spring Boot, Node.js, React, or Angular.
- Preferred: familiarity with data pipelines or integrating data from multiple sources.
- Preferred: experience using AI coding assistants and agentic developer tools.
- Preferred: strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.

- 10.5-week full-time internship running May 24, 2027 through August 4, 2027.
