Responsibilities
- Design and build secure, compliant backend services and microservices for clinical data platforms and data movement.
- Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines within a clinical data lake architecture.
- Improve system quality through code reviews, performance optimization, automated testing, and observability.
- Integrate components and resolve production issues such as ingestion failures, schema drift, and performance bottlenecks.
- Collaborate with product, UX/design, QA, data/AI, and engineering teams to define and ship features.
- Contribute to engineering best practices and mentor junior engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, information technology, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of end-to-end software development experience covering design, development, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Strong backend development expertise in Golang and REST API design using Swagger/OpenAPI.
- Experience with reliability, resilience, observability, event-driven architectures, Linux environments, and containerized microservices.
- Experience with NATS, Kafka, or RabbitMQ and Docker or Kubernetes.
- Database design and performance tuning experience with PostgreSQL or MS SQL.
- Familiarity with cloud-native and DevOps practices, plus strong collaboration and leadership skills.
- Medical or regulated-environment experience is a plus.
