Base Salary

$97k - $180k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Oversee software architecture and multi-level software designs for a complex system of systems.
  • Support system design, integration, fielding, and certification across multiple engineering disciplines.
  • Assess software design from requirements through final system integration test plans.
  • Develop technical risk mitigation strategies and conduct technical and program risk assessments.
  • Perform requirements development, validation, tracing, verification, defect burn-down, regression testing, and integration analysis.
  • Conduct threat assessments, vulnerability assessments, secure software architecture analysis, software test evaluation, and application integration.
  • Work side-by-side with government customers as a subject matter expert and enable government ownership of delivered technology.
  • Decompose system-level non-functional requirements and constraints into software components.
  • Collaborate daily with representatives from multiple corporate entities and customer organizations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, or a related technical field.
  • At least 8 years of software and/or systems engineering experience designing complex software systems of systems, including requirements validation and verification.
  • Familiarity with software system design, development, deployment, and testing in containerized environments.
  • Fluency in an object-oriented language such as C#, C++, or Java.
  • Proficiency with software interfaces using tools such as Google Protocol Buffers.
  • Proficiency with SysML and Cameo.
  • Experience with requirements management, requirements development, validation, tracing, verification, and software testing strategy.
  • Familiarity with secure software development processes, software design patterns, and Day 0, Day 1, and Day 2 operations.
  • Strong team, interpersonal, oral communication, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with customers.
  • U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.
  • Preferred: API security knowledge, defense program experience, air-gapped deployment experience, Atlassian suite experience, Git and Bitbucket experience, DoD DevSecOps principles, DoD mission operations networks, and FedRAMP or other government security standards.
  • Active DoD SECRET clearance is preferred.
