Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership to Eats Engineering and ensure engineers build scalable and fault-tolerant systems.
- Develop and execute technical strategy and roadmaps with senior leadership and product owners.
- Drive mission-critical projects across stakeholders and globally distributed engineering teams.
- Own architecture planning, design patterns, best practices, and ongoing simplification of the system landscape.
- Investigate and resolve critical system issues and proactively plan corrective actions.
- Recruit senior engineers and help build a high-performance engineering organization.
- Develop, mentor, and coach engineers on architecture, design, and engineering practices.
- Define, measure, and report system and operational metrics.
Requirements
- 10+ years of industry experience building B2C-scale products, preferably using the Java stack and AWS.
- 7+ years of experience in technical leadership, including driving technical vision and execution at an organizational or business-unit level.
- Hands-on experience designing, building, and delivering scalable and highly available products and services.
- Strong expertise in Java development, system and data architecture, distributed computing and storage, messaging services, caches, and performance tuning.
- Experience collaborating across globally distributed teams and driving cross-team initiatives.
- Bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- Ecommerce or food-delivery product development experience is preferred.
- Experience with ML platforms and MLOps is preferred.
- Prompt engineering and agent framework experience is preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are preferred.
