Responsibilities

Develop flexible software solutions enabling IoT capabilities across manufacturing operations.
Design, code, document, unit test, and maintain cloud-based application features and reusable components.
Architect and implement AWS cloud solutions, APIs, microservices, event-driven integrations, and scalable data pipelines.
Develop and maintain integrations with internal and external data sources and build business analytics applications.
Troubleshoot testing and production issues, rapidly fix bugs, monitor metrics, and improve products and technologies.
Define technical requirements, cloud-service choices, solution specifications, architecture direction, and development standards.
Collaborate with architects, product and program managers, client users, developers, data scientists, and stakeholders during delivery.
Support product and DevOps practices, source control, agile ceremonies, short sprints, code management, and build/deploy processes.
Provide technical mentorship and architecture guidance to less-experienced team members.
Act in accordance with Magna’s compliance policies and procedures.

At least six years of related experience.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Broad experience across AWS cloud architecture, application development, analytics, networking, security, storage, DevOps, and containers in IoT environments; automotive experience is preferred.
Experience with multiple object-oriented programming languages, including JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, C#, C++, and Java.
Experience with relational and non-relational data storage, AWS solution architecture, and container orchestration and lifecycle management.
Expertise with GraphQL, REST, Node.js, and microservice implementation technologies.
Experience with MQTT or Kafka and with authentication and authorization technologies such as Azure Active Directory and OAuth 2.0.
Understanding of React.js and HTML or CSS for front-end development.
Experience building scalable data pipelines with Databricks, SQL, and Apache Spark is an asset.
A master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field and cloud certification are preferred.

Regular, permanent position.
Starting salary of $100,000 CAD.
