Base Salary
$150k - $162k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead software development across multiple Agile teams and serve as the senior technical authority for application design and implementation.
- Mentor developers, establish coding and engineering standards, conduct design and code reviews, and approve production-ready code.
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain enterprise web applications using React, Python, C#/.NET, Microsoft Power Platform, and Azure services.
- Develop scalable backend services, REST APIs, reusable components, database schemas, stored procedures, optimized queries, and data migration solutions.
- Lead legacy application modernization and migration to Azure Government, cloud-native architectures, microservices, API-first designs, and container-ready applications.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automated builds, testing, deployments, infrastructure-as-code practices, and software bills of materials.
- Develop automated unit, integration, and regression tests; resolve production issues; and perform root cause analysis.
- Support secure software development, vulnerability remediation, ATO activities, Section 508 accessibility, FISMA, NIST SP 800-53, and agency security requirements.
- Produce technical designs, architecture documentation, API and integration specifications, deployment guides, operational runbooks, and configuration documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- At least 10 years of professional software development experience and at least 5 years supporting Federal Government IT systems.
- Demonstrated experience leading software development teams and delivering enterprise applications using Agile methodologies.
- Strong experience with Python, C#, .NET, JavaScript/TypeScript, SQL, React, Python frameworks, ASP.NET Core, REST APIs, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Azure, Microsoft 365, Power Platform, Git, Azure DevOps, and GitHub.
- Experience with enterprise application architecture, cloud modernization, database development, automated testing, DevSecOps, security compliance, systems integration, and technical documentation.
- Preferred qualifications include Azure Developer Associate, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Power Platform Developer Associate, Security+, Certified Scrum Developer, or Certified Kubernetes Application Developer certifications.
- Preferred experience includes Azure Government GCC/GCC High, Dynamics 365, Power Platform enterprise development, API management, IAM, OAuth/OpenID Connect, microservices, Docker/Kubernetes, records management, Section 508, FISMA systems, ATO support, NIST controls, and enterprise CI/CD.
