Responsibilities
- Design and develop Python-based components for the core agentic platform.
- Deploy, manage, and scale containerized applications in Kubernetes environments.
- Build Model Context Protocol servers and reusable AI skills for agent interaction with databases, microservices, and external APIs.
- Collaborate with internal teams to expose Java-based APIs to AI agents.
- Implement enterprise AI guardrails, including data privacy, sensitive-data scrubbing, prompt injection defenses, and output validation.
- Develop automated testing pipelines for nondeterministic AI outputs and troubleshoot issues under multiple deadlines.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of software engineering experience with a bachelor’s degree, 3 years of relevant experience with a master’s degree, or 9 years of relevant experience with a high school diploma or equivalent.
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance are required; current Secret or Top Secret clearance may be considered.
- Hands-on Kubernetes experience deploying and managing containerized workloads.
- Experience integrating commercial LLM APIs such as OpenAI or Anthropic, or open-source models, into production backend applications.
- Understanding of prompt engineering, agents, function calling/tool use, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation.
- Experience with enterprise APIs, RESTful web services, microservices architecture, Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Linux command-line work.
- Familiarity with Java frameworks such as Spring, AI integration frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, CrewAI, or AutoGen, vector databases, semantic caching, AI observability, NiFi, Kafka, AWS, Azure, SQL or NoSQL databases, and data lake architectures is preferred.
- DoD 8140 / 8570 IAT Level II compliance certifications may be required as directed by the customer.
