Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, and deploy systems software for server, storage, networking, and GPU subsystem management and provisioning.
- Automate hardware provisioning and server onboarding across large-scale fleets.
- Design firmware components and support platform bring-up, firmware updates, diagnostics, and cross-layer debugging.
- Investigate and resolve complex incidents, defects, and customer issues across software, firmware, hardware, operating systems, and bootloaders.
- Improve performance, scalability, reliability, fault tolerance, observability, security, compliance, testing, monitoring, and software quality.
- Develop API versioning, lifecycle, interoperability, and integration strategies.
- Lead architecture reviews, code reviews, design work, technical standards, and software development improvements.
- Provide technical guidance, coaching, and mentorship to less experienced engineers.
- Coordinate moderately complex projects, delegate and prioritize work, monitor deliverables, and adjust plans as needed.
- Participate in candidate interviews, hiring recommendations, and talent development.
Requirements
- Advanced experience designing and developing complex systems software and software tooling for hyperscale infrastructure.
- Experience with hardware provisioning, fleet automation, platform bring-up, firmware updates, diagnostics, and cross-layer debugging.
- Experience designing and implementing firmware components that integrate diverse interfaces and protocols.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues spanning software, firmware, hardware, operating systems, and bootloaders.
- Experience with performance profiling, scalability, reliability, fault tolerance, observability, secure coding, compliance, testing, and monitoring.
- Experience with software architecture, API integration, versioning, lifecycle management, and interoperability strategies.
- Demonstrated technical leadership through architecture guidance, code reviews, coaching, mentoring, and cross-organizational collaboration.
- Ability to coordinate projects, manage competing priorities, investigate complex problems, and communicate solutions to stakeholders and customers.
