Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and optimize high-performance, low-latency FX real-time risk infrastructure.
- Drive technical deliverables, architectural evolution, design standards, code quality, and system stability.
- Develop real-time risk calculations across highly concurrent data flows and distributed stream-processing systems.
- Collaborate with FX Options Trading, trading leadership, risk managers, and engineering partners to translate business and quantitative requirements into software designs.
- Conduct deep code reviews, provide technical mentorship, and contribute to technical strategy.
- Troubleshoot complex real-time system behavior and critical production incidents.
- Assess technical and architectural risk while adhering to corporate security, scalability, and stability standards.
Requirements
- Extensive enterprise Java development experience in highly parallel, low-latency, or distributed environments.
- Strong financial knowledge of FX trading, options pricing, or real-time risk systems.
- Proven experience as a high-performing individual contributor delivering complex, high-throughput distributed systems in production.
- Deep hands-on Core Java expertise, including multithreading, memory management, garbage collection tuning, and concurrency utilities.
- Experience with real-time stream processing and distributed data architectures, including Kafka, Apache Storm, CouchbaseDB/NoSQL, or Spring.
- Familiarity with containerization, OpenShift/Kubernetes, and cloud platforms such as GCP or AWS is advantageous.
- Understanding of AI, machine learning, or advanced quantitative analytics applications in financial systems is a plus.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to explain complex technical concepts to nontechnical business partners.
- Bachelor’s degree or university degree, or equivalent experience.
