Base Salary
$130k - $150k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead architectural design of scalable, low-latency C++ systems.
- Establish engineering best practices, coding standards, and code review processes.
- Drive optimization initiatives for throughput, memory efficiency, and hardware utilization.
- Identify technical debt and develop strategies to refactor, upgrade, and secure legacy codebases.
- Translate business objectives into technical roadmaps with product managers and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Coach and mentor junior and mid-level engineers.
- Design comprehensive automated unit, integration, and stress-testing strategies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline with 8+ years of experience, or a master’s degree with 6+ years of experience.
- Active TS/SCI clearance is required.
- 8+ years of professional experience developing production-ready software using Modern C++.
- Deep expertise in system design, distributed systems, concurrency models, and low-level resource management.
- Advanced experience with CMake, Perf, Valgrind, VTune, and robust software delivery pipelines.
- Experience designing automated unit, integration, and stress testing strategies.
- Preferred experience with Linux kernel internals, OS-level scheduling, TCP/UDP, sockets, Boost, LLVM, Abseil, Docker, and cloud infrastructure such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
