Base Salary
$147k - $202k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop mission-critical in-vehicle applications focused on user experience and interfaces.
- Create intuitive, reliable applications for the Rivian in-vehicle experience.
- Collaborate with UX/UI and Studio teams to integrate 2D and 3D content.
- Test the in-vehicle experience in laboratories and Rivian prototype vehicles.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues discovered during testing.
- Research new technologies and interfaces.
- Collaborate across divisions on technology roadmaps, portfolios, and intellectual property.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of software development lifecycle experience from requirements gathering through implementation and maintenance.
- At least 5 years of experience with C++, Rust, Java, or Kotlin.
- Preferred: knowledge of functional safety requirements, regulatory compliance, and automotive software development best practices.
- Preferred: experience with Android application frameworks and Android Automotive Operating System.
- Preferred: experience with Qt and Qt Safe Renderer in an automotive environment.
- Preferred: deep understanding of user-friendly, immersive, reactive user interface development.
