Base Salary
$158k - $214k/yr
Responsibilities
- Engage with product and program managers to understand customer requirements and develop solutions.
- Design, code, and deploy scalable services and platform components for developer tooling across Amazon Ads.
- Build AI-native capabilities that help engineers discover context, plan and execute changes, and navigate software delivery workflows.
- Improve developer productivity, development velocity, operational efficiency, and delivery reliability.
- Ensure code is testable, maintainable, and has a low operational footprint.
- Work directly with Ads engineers to understand workflow friction and improve developer tools and services.
- Participate in operational responsibilities with the team.
- Author technical documents and communicate clearly with engineering partners.
Requirements
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 2+ years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- 1+ year of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
- 1+ year designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
- 1+ year of object-oriented design experience.
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- Preferred: 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
