Responsibilities
- Own and deliver complex, scalable backend features across the card lifecycle in Brazil, Chile, and Europe.
- Improve monitoring, alerting, runbooks, incident handling, and post-incident follow-up improvements.
- Define reusable architecture patterns, lead service refactoring, and reduce technical debt across 12+ service orchestrations.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, facilitate design discussions, and contribute to RFCs and engineering standards.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and cross-functional teams on roadmaps, technical strategy, and compliant merchant-facing products.
Requirements
- Ability to solve complex and ambiguous product problems with clear, scalable technical approaches.
- Strong expertise in unit and integration testing and reliable backend development.
- Proficiency in Java or Kotlin, or a genuine drive to master Kotlin or Java quickly.
- Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud services and relational databases.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills, including with non-technical stakeholders.
- Advanced written and spoken English proficiency.
