
Lead Software Engineer - Java/AWS
JPMorgan ChaseResponsibilities
- Develop and troubleshoot secure, high-quality production software solutions.
- Build backend services with Java and Spring Boot using microservices architectures.
- Design and implement web services and APIs.
- Define cloud infrastructure with Terraform and operate services on AWS.
- Containerize and orchestrate applications with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Develop and maintain event streaming solutions using Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Use CI/CD, observability, and SRE practices to improve application stability and reliability.
- Drive adoption and validation of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering tools and practices.
- Identify and automate remediation of recurring operational issues.
- Lead evaluation sessions with vendors, startups, and internal teams on architectural designs and technical solutions.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
- Proficiency developing backend services in Java with Spring Boot and microservices architectures.
- Experience designing and implementing RESTful web services and APIs.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform and AWS.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with Postgres, Cassandra, MongoDB, Redis, and other relational or NoSQL databases.
- Experience with Kafka or RabbitMQ event streaming solutions.
- Experience with Jenkins, Splunk, Grafana, CI/CD, DevOps, and SRE practices.
- Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and validating their outputs.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Preferred: AWS cloud certification.
- Preferred: experience with performance tuning, capacity planning, reliability engineering, secure coding, and threat modeling.
