Base Salary
$144k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop software systems that meet mission criteria and requirements.
- Create systems and services for ingesting, processing, and visualizing satellite telemetry data.
- Build real-time monitoring systems that identify anomalies, detect trends, and proactively alert stakeholders.
- Ensure high reliability, uptime, performance, scalability, and availability across telemetry systems.
- Use AWS and other Amazon technologies to build highly available software services.
- Collaborate with team members to establish a strong software organization for Amazon Leo.
- Help onboard new team members.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- At least 1 year of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
- At least 1 year of experience designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multithreaded, embedded, or distributed software applications, tools, systems, or services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
- At least 1 year of object-oriented design experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- Preferred: at least 3 years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
