Responsibilities
- Implement well-scoped features and components for agents, copilots, and internal platform services with guidance from senior engineers and an architect.
- Write clean, tested code and build evaluations to verify agent behavior before and after release.
- Integrate tools and data sources into agentic workflows using standards such as the Model Context Protocol.
- Contribute to agent runtimes, model access, evaluation harnesses, and developer tooling for the internal AI platform.
- Apply prompting, retrieval-augmented generation, tool use, evaluation-first development, and observability practices.
- Partner with teammates and business stakeholders, participate in code reviews and design discussions, and join on-call responsibilities as experience grows.
Requirements
- Roughly 1–3 years of software engineering experience, or strong new graduates with internships or substantial software and applied AI/ML project work.
- Solid fundamentals in at least one production language: Python, Go, TypeScript, or Java.
- Exposure to LLMs, prompting, retrieval, agents, and tool use through coursework, internships, or personal projects.
- Ability to learn quickly, ask effective questions, and work pragmatically with incomplete information.
- Clear communication and effective collaboration with engineers and non-engineering stakeholders across time zones.
- Preferred experience with Git, CI/CD, containers, Kubernetes, vector stores, retrieval pipelines, evaluation tooling, or an end-to-end LLM-powered project.
