Base Salary
$149k - $350k/yr
Responsibilities
- Drive fundamental and applied research in AI to build best-in-class models.
- Combine industry best practices with a first-principles approach to develop generative AI models.
- Collaborate with product and infrastructure engineers to enhance Figma's products with AI features.
- Transform user feedback into requirements for AI systems in collaboration with product managers.
- Build evaluation systems to measure and improve the quality of AI features.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in building generative AI features through prompt engineering and fine-tuning models.
- Experience with deep learning and generative AI frameworks like PyTorch, JAX, and HuggingFace.
- Experience training LLMs with Reinforcement Learning techniques.
- 4+ years in Generative AI and 6+ years in machine learning, natural language processing, or computer vision.
- Strong software engineering skills with 5+ years in programming languages such as Python, C++, Java, or R.
- Ability to communicate and work across functions to drive solutions.
