Responsibilities
- Plan and perform quality assurance activities throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Validate application changes in development, test, staging, and other non-production environments before production promotion.
- Develop and maintain automated and manual test cases, scripts, suites, test data, and evidence.
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and maintain testing and quality gates using Selenium, SonarQube, Jenkins, or comparable tools.
- Perform or coordinate functional, regression, integration, system, performance, release, and user acceptance testing.
- Validate Section 508 conformance and applicable accessibility requirements for software releases.
- Identify defects, document reproducible results, collaborate with engineers on resolution, and perform retesting.
- Review security-scan and code-quality results, monitor test coverage, and recommend improvements to automated testing.
- Produce test plans, test scripts, test results, defect evidence, and release-quality documentation.
- Support production incident analysis by validating fixes and regression impacts.
Requirements
- Experience performing software quality assurance throughout the SDLC and combining automated testing with structured manual testing.
- Experience developing and maintaining software test plans, scripts, cases, and results.
- Experience testing software in non-production environments before release.
- Experience with Selenium or a comparable automated functional testing tool, Jenkins or comparable CI/CD tooling, and SonarQube or comparable code-quality/security-scanning tools.
- Experience with functional, regression, integration, and release testing.
- Experience validating Section 508 or accessibility requirements for software releases.
- Ability to obtain and maintain favorable DHS EOD, suitability, and required system access.
- Preferred qualifications include current DHS Trusted Tester certification, WCAG 2.0 Level A and AA experience, enterprise web application performance or load testing, and prior DHS or federal civilian testing experience.
- Preferred experience includes testing ICAM, IAM, SSO, PIV, PKI, PAM, access-management, or cybersecurity applications.
- Experience with Jira, GitHub Enterprise, Java/Spring applications, Angular applications, MySQL, containerized environments, and automated security, accessibility, and coverage gates is preferred.
