Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain software solutions for product enhancements and new products.
- Develop and maintain embedded Linux and C++ platform components connecting ESAB equipment to the InduSuite system.
- Debug and troubleshoot application code while applying secure and robust programming practices.
- Estimate and plan software work and produce technical documentation and instructions.
- Collaborate with cloud representatives, architecture owners, software designers, and system testers.
- Identify and implement improvements to work processes and methods.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of work experience in software design.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent education.
- Practical experience with scalable software design, software architecture, modern C++, and GitLab CI/CD.
- Understanding of TCP/IP, MQTT, REST APIs, IPC, CAN, Ethernet, module and system testing, and test automation in CI/CD pipelines.
- Preferred familiarity with resource-constrained systems, AI-assisted software development tools, microcontrollers, Cortex, ARM, STM, and software/hardware interaction.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, collaboration, communication, and structured work skills.
- No prior welding-industry experience is required.
