Base Salary

$175k - $240k/yr

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain backend services, APIs, and databases for the scientific discovery platform.
Contribute to frontend features and workflows in collaboration with design and frontend teammates.
Build and extend data pipelines that support AI agents and research workflows.
Implement monitoring, observability, and automated testing to ensure system reliability.
Troubleshoot issues across the stack and proactively improve system quality.
Collaborate with engineering, design, and research teams to ship new AI-driven features.
Grow as a software engineer within a highly collaborative team.

Typically, 4-8 years of software engineering experience with backend and frontend development exposure.
Strong proficiency in at least one backend language, preferably Python.
Experience designing and consuming APIs, with knowledge of FastAPI or REST.
Familiarity with frontend frameworks like React or Next.js.
Working knowledge of relational or document databases such as PostgreSQL or MongoDB.
Exposure to cloud infrastructure like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
Experience with version control, CI/CD pipelines, and basic automated testing.
Strong curiosity and a growth mindset in a fast-moving environment.
