Responsibilities

  • Match customer requirements to capabilities across the VNF, CNF, NFVi, NFVO, VNFM, VIM, and MEC space.
  • Provide technical pre-sales consulting to service-provider teams.
  • Design, implement, and deploy telco-grade open-source multi-tenant private clouds and micro clouds.
  • Deploy OpenStack, Kubernetes, MAAS, and Ceph cloud solutions for customers.
  • Investigate, report, and fix software defects found during customer deployments.
  • Demonstrate infrastructure-as-code techniques using automation scripting and Terraform.
  • Learn and apply model-driven operations with Juju charms for Kafka, Hadoop, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, NGINX, and other services.
  • Help customers adopt bare-metal, public, private, and hybrid cloud solutions.
  • Use customer engagement insights to drive product improvements and shape the telco market roadmap.

Requirements

  • Intermediate-level Python software development experience is mandatory.
  • Experience with Terraform automation and Linux, OpenStack, and Kubernetes networking is required.
  • Thorough understanding of the telco NFVi, NFVO, VNFM, VIM, and MEC space is required.
  • Technical understanding of CPU pinning, NUMA, SR-IOV, DPDK, and related telco technologies is required.
  • Working knowledge of Mobile Packet Core, Radio, VAS, and OSS/BSS environments is required.
  • Understanding of open-source technology best practices in telco virtualization is required.
  • Ability to lead complex projects from start to finish and communicate and present effectively.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time for events, customer meetings, and project delivery.
  • A second language and a track record of open-source contributions are additional skills that may be helpful.
