Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test cases for complex features and systems.
- Lead risk assessments and determine appropriate testing depth.
- Participate in requirements analysis, design reviews, and sprint planning to improve testability.
- Execute functional, regression, integration, performance, and security tests.
- Design, maintain, and scale automated test frameworks and scripts for UI, API, and backend services.
- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines.
- Establish and improve quality standards, metrics, and testing best practices.
- Perform defect root-cause analysis and collaborate with engineering on long-term fixes.
- Improve development and testing processes through Agile, Scrum, or DevOps practices.
- Partner with developers and product owners to resolve issues and validate acceptance criteria.
- Mentor junior SQA analysts on testing practices, tools, and automation techniques.
- Communicate test progress, risks, and results to stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
- 4–7+ years of experience in software quality assurance or test engineering.
- Experience with test automation frameworks and scripting languages including Python, JavaScript, or Java.
- Experience testing in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Experience with tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, Postman, SoapUI, or REST-Assured.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
- Understanding of SQL, NoSQL, and data validation techniques.
- Cloud platform experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP is preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
- Ability to mentor others and influence quality culture across teams.
- Preferred certifications include ISTQB, CSQA, Agile or Scrum, and DevOps or Cloud certifications.
