Base Salary
$271k - $347k/yr
Responsibilities
- Drive team goals and technical direction to improve organizational efficiency.
- Lead the long-term technical vision and roadmap for large cross-company efforts.
- Collect and synthesize requirements and create effective feature roadmaps.
- Influence executive stakeholders and organizational leaders through technical proposals and strategic recommendations.
- Identify and resolve performance and scalability issues and reduce technical debt.
- Drive large cross-functional and industry-wide engineering efforts.
- Communicate complex features and systems and collaborate across functions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, a relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 12+ years of programming experience in a relevant language, or 8+ years of experience with a PhD.
- Experience influencing executive stakeholders through technical proposals, roadmap alignment, or strategic recommendations.
- Experience using data and analysis to explain technical problems and provide detailed solutions.
- Experience communicating and working across functions to drive solutions.
- Proven experience planning multi-year roadmaps that connect short-term projects to a long-term mission.
- Experience driving large cross-functional or industry-wide engineering efforts.
- Preferred: master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Preferred: understanding of information retrieval concepts such as indexing, querying, and ranking; knowledge of NLP techniques; data structures and algorithms experience; and experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn.
