Responsibilities

  • Design and develop user-space applications on Embedded Linux, RTOS, and bare-metal microcontroller systems for energy storage products.
  • Develop and maintain battery monitoring applications using Modbus, CAN, and Ethernet-based industrial communication protocols.
  • Perform board bring-up and hardware validation.
  • Implement multithreaded, event-driven applications, driver layers, custom protocols, state-machine-based application software, and bootloaders for subsystem firmware updates.
  • Debug communication issues using Wireshark, CAN analyzers, and protocol tools.
  • Produce design, unit-test, and integration-test documentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, participate in code reviews and technical discussions, and improve firmware development processes.

Requirements

  • Strong experience with Embedded Linux user-space development.
  • Strong C programming skills are mandatory.
  • Hands-on experience with ARM Cortex-A or MPU-based systems.
  • Knowledge of multithreading, inter-process communication, shared memory, and TCP/UDP socket programming.
  • Good understanding of industrial communication protocols including Modbus and CAN.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Electronic Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
  • Preferred qualifications include software design and library development, object-oriented concepts, Agile methods, security vulnerability protection techniques, Git, Yocto, and TI microprocessors and microcontrollers.
  • Well-developed communication and collaboration skills.
