Responsibilities
- Build interactive, intuitive, and scalable front-end applications.
- Develop full stack features, including microservices, APIs, and backend data stores.
- Contribute to robust APIs using graph and relational databases.
- Collaborate with product, design, and independent technology teams to plan, execute, and ship business-critical projects.
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code and participate in unit and integration testing.
- Participate in code reviews, technical designs, whiteboarding, and hackathons.
- Maintain high engineering quality and contribute to collective team ownership.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
- At least 2.5 years of experience designing and building successful customer-facing web applications.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language, preferably a statically typed language such as Java, C++, or Golang.
- Strong understanding of JavaScript and at least one front-end framework such as React, Vue, or AngularJS.
- Experience with HTML5, CSS, Node.js, REST APIs, SQL, shell commands, unit tests, integration tests, Git, and GitHub pull request workflows.
- Experience writing complex, highly optimized SQL queries in a database platform such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
- Ability to evaluate technical approaches, solve problems, communicate technical information, work independently, and collaborate effectively.
- Preferred experience includes GraphQL, Apollo and React Apollo, Babel, Webpack, Browserify, Python, TypeScript, Vue.js, AWS, Neo4j, Amazon Redshift, BigQuery, Jenkins, Atlassian tools, social network APIs, Hive, Spark, Kafka, and Kafka Streams.
