Responsibilities
- Develop and evolve engineering standards, guidelines, and best practices for scalable, maintainable, and secure software.
- Promote software quality, reliability, observability, and safe delivery practices across teams.
- Improve developer experience, productivity, processes, tools, and platforms while reducing delivery obstacles.
- Advocate for reusable frameworks, templates, and accelerators that streamline engineering work.
- Drive continuous improvement in technology quality, performance, sustainability, and technical debt reduction.
- Collaborate with engineering leadership, architects, and platform teams on strategic technical direction.
- Support technical reviews and help resolve complex engineering challenges.
- Mentor technical leaders and engineers through communities of practice, workshops, forums, and mentorship.
Requirements
- Extensive experience leading impactful software engineering initiatives.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, cloud-native systems, and contemporary engineering methodologies.
- Proven ability to influence and collaborate across multiple teams on technical direction and continuous improvement.
- Experience improving engineering effectiveness, developer productivity, or delivery quality at scale.
- Demonstrated communication, mentoring, and stakeholder engagement skills that foster trust and alignment.
