Base Salary
$190k - $345k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and evolve platform services, infrastructure, and internal tooling for OpenSea products
- Own complex technical systems from definition through implementation
- Improve observability, monitoring, and alerting across OpenSea systems
- Maintain and improve AI skills and tools that make systems more accessible and introspectable
- Expand CI coverage to improve correctness and AI verifiability
- Partner with product teams to accelerate the build and deployment of critical products
- Build and ship reliable software using AI, modern development tools, and sound engineering judgment
Requirements
- 7+ years of software engineering experience building large-scale backend or platform systems
- Strong fluency in JVM languages such as Kotlin or Java
- Experience designing and operating distributed systems, backend services, and modern cloud infrastructure
- Strong understanding of platform engineering, developer tooling, CI/CD, observability, and operational best practices
- Ability to own complex, ambiguous technical problems and deliver scalable solutions
- Ability to make independent technical decisions balancing reliability, scalability, performance, and maintainability
- Experience using AI tools and workflows to improve engineering quality, efficiency, and team effectiveness
- Passion for Web3, digital ownership, AI, or other emerging technologies
